Making Your Values Matter in the Marketplace

In one way or another, all of our efforts are directed toward “values-based” economic activity. We believe that if a sustainable and just society is ever to be achieved, it will be due to the cumulative effect of the vast number of daily choices made by many people acting according to their own personal values.

As a practical matter, we believe that if more people had tools for translating their personal values into concrete choices, actions would follow. We also believe that if enough people had the ability to frame their own choices in terms of their own values, the cumulative effect would be a collective action far more powerful than any program exhorting them to act “more sustainably” could ever accomplish.
