As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009, Eligea, LLC of Seattle was honored last night at the Imperial Theater in Montreal, CA as the runner-up in the “Action for a Better World” Idea Competition by “Challenge Your World”.
MONTREAL, Canada (November 19, 2009) Challenge Your World has announced Eligea, LLC as the runner-up, second place winner of their competition for new innovative ideas guided by sustainability practices. Challenge Your World brought Aaron Wood, President of Eligea to their “Rendez-vous 09” event which featured Guy Kawasaki, a former Fellow at Apple Computer Inc, as the keynote speaker.
The event drew over 600 people and was a major success. Martin Lessard, developer of the Challenge Your World web platform and online strategy said, “last nights event was a success…Designed to provide an imaginative and innovative look at sustainability and the future of business, Rendez-Vous 09 meant to be a truly unique evening for innovators, aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone who believes ’A Better World is Everyone’s Business’. And we achieved our goal”.
During the competition Eligea (www.eligea.com) campaigned in and around the Seattle community for support where they received positive responses from many people including Mayor Mike McGinn’s campaign office and SEEDS, a Vashon Island based non-profit organization.

Eligea’s idea, a virtual environment that enables users to connect to products and providers based on personal values, was chosen as runner-up out of over 150 entrants and will now receive various support services from Challenge Your World. The Eligea concept leverages the virtual world to create change in the real world; especially within commerce and community.
